Cougar Mission: Pick a different friend each day this week and greet them with a good hand shake. This week we will be working on expectations during and dismissal times. Adults will be watching to make sure that we are all being safe, respectful and responsible. Be Safe! Wait in your designated area. Be Responsible! Arrive on time and leave on time. Be Respectful! Follow adult directions the first time.
Parent mission: Teach your child how to give a good solid hand shake and how to introduce yourself.
Rise and Shine…and READ! Title I at Carriage Hill is having “Rise and Shine…and READ!” for kindergarten, first, second and third grade students and a special adult. COAT DRIVE: DONATE TODAY! The PTO is requesting all families look through your closets for used coats, gloves, hats, scarves, snow pants and boots. Over the last several years we have donated hundreds of gently used winter wear to those in need. Please help us again this year by donating to the coat drive. The items will be donated to Children's Square to help children in times of need. All sizes are needed, as they serve children of ALL ages! Ask your friends and relatives to check their closets too, we would love to donate over 200 items this year! Thanks for your generosity in helping those in need this winter! The coat drive is going on now and will continue until November 30th. Questions: email Natalie Mandolfo at jnmandolfo@cox.net
CARRIAGE HILL WANTS TO HELP! The Backpack Program is supported by the Omaha Food Bank. It is a program designed to provide food for hungry children at times when other resources are not available, such as weekends and school vacations. This program supports families throughout the Omaha metro area, including Papillion & La Vista. Our 6th Grade Leadership Team is partnering with Woodhouse Auto to raise money to support this wonderful program! Here is how you can help. Starting Monday, November 12th, Carriage Hill is sponsoring a penny war. Each classroom will have a milk jug to collect money. Search in your couches, your cars, your piggy banks and bring any money, not just pennies, to collect in the jugs. Every cent counts! We will continue to collect money through the month of November and the classroom that raises the most money for the Backpack Program will get a pizza party paid for by Woodhouse Auto (Thanks to Mr. Miranda!) Let’s do our part Carriage Hill!!
