Newsletter

Last week's newsletter was for what we are learning this week (Nov. 12-16) and next week (Nov. 19-20). There will be no full newsletter this week, but we do have a few things to share...

*Congratulations to Mr. Radicia's class for having the most box tops, Campbell's labels, Hy-Vee receipts, and Land-O-Lake milk caps from the October pick-up! First grade is very proud.

*PTO Meeting is Thursday, November 15th at 6pm in the Media Center. Child Care is provided. Our BIST consultant will be there to talk about the behavior program at Carriage Hill and to answer your questions.

*PTO Movie Night is Friday, November 16th starting at 6:30pm. We will be watching The Lorax. Admission is FREE! Bring your blankets, pillows, and snacks :)

*BIST Tip: Goals for Life #1

I can take good care of myself, even if I am mad or have an overwhelming feeling.  We all have times when we feel angry or overwhelmed.  It is normal.  As adults we have learned ways to manage these feeling.  Our job as adults is to teach students strategies to cope with their overwhelming feelings in a respectful and productive way.

*Remember there is NO SCHOOL next Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday (Nov. 21-23rd). Happy Thanksgiving!

*If there is any information you would like to see included in the First Grade Newsletters, please let us know!

*Feel free to contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions, comments, or concerns!
